Various Locations, Clinical Residency/Fellowships

Chief Resident and First Assist

For 2 years, I served as a fellow under the auspice of Professor Frederick R. Carrick, focusing on rehabilitation strategies with multiple subsets of patients, including traumatic brain injuries, movement disorders, balance disorders, learning and developmental disorders, acquired brain injuries, neurodegenerative conditions, and athletic performance enhancement.

2008 2010

Apex Energetics

I completed all offered courses, multiple times, in patient diagnosis, supplementation and treatment of nutritional based diseases. This includes: functional blood chemistry analysis, functional endocrinology, thyroid disorders, neurotransmitter supplementation, and immunology.

2007 present

Carrick Institute of Graduate Studies

I have completed postgraduate studies in the field of functional neurology, pediatric diagnosis and treatment, functional medicine, vestibular disorders, movement disorders, and neuropsychological disorders.. I also earned a professional Master’s degree in Neurology. Transcript is available upon request.

2007 2008

Life University, Post-Graduate Education

As a student, I completed courses in: Spinal Trauma (120 hours), Applied Kinesiology (25 hours), Chiropractic Biophysics (45 hours), Pettibon Technique (30 hours). These courses were taken as a post-graduate student, I would have to re-take them as a licensed doctor to achieve certification.

2006.01 2009.12

Life University College of Chiropractic, Doctorate Degree in Chiropractic (D.C.)

I attended Life University and earned my Doctorate degree In Chiropractic. 2015.04 2015.09

Excelsior University, Biology (B.S.)

During my enrollment in chiropractic school, I was advised that I would NOT need a bachelor's degree to practice chiropractic. I met the school's enrollment criteria of having 120 credit hours. I found out 6 years after graduation with my doctorate that a number of state regulations require a Bachelor's Degree prior to licensure, so I elected to complete my remaining 2 classes to confer a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) Degree.

2002.09 2005.05

Central Connecticut State University

I attended CCSU on a full academic scholarship, in their honors program. Multiple areas of study: Graphic Design, Communications, Biology, Entrepreneurship. I left CCSU premature of obtaining a Bachelor’s degree, to pursue my chiropractic education. I later completed my remaining 2 classes to obtain my B.S. degree (2015) from Excelsior University

Text

While in graduate school, Dr. Antonucci became fascinated with the nervous system, particularly the brain. After receiving his doctorate in chiropractic medicine he became a board-certified diplomate in the sub-specialty of chiropractic neurology. He completed a fellowship in functional neurology, training for 2 years directly with Professor Frederick R. Carrick, in the rehabilitation of complex neurological conditions. Dr. Antonucci continued to engage in the advancement of his knowledge through completing 1-year fellowships in each of the following: childhood developmental disorders, vestibular rehabilitation, neurochemistry and nutrition, as well as a 2-year fellowship in traumatic brain injury rehabilitation. In 2015, he was nominated by his peers, and approved for a lifetime fellowship into the International College of Chiropractic.

Dr. Antonucci finds particular interest in treating individuals with neurological challenge, creating educational curricula and teaching healthcare providers about brain rehabilitation, and the creation of a systematic approach to the practice of functional neurology. He is currently a editorial reviewer for the journals Frontiers in Neuroscience, Frontiers in Public Health, Elsevier's Journal of Clinical Biomechanics, and an Associate Professor of Clinical Neurology for the Carrick Institute. He is also the co-founder and president of Plasticity Brain Centers in Orlando, Florida.

He currently resides in Viera, Florida with his amazing wife,Tricia Carrick-Antonucci, and 5 incredible sons: Tedy, Boston, Brady, Ashton, and Ayden.
